Every figure on this site traces back to a public record. Here's where each number comes from, how we count, what we don't yet know, and how to tell us we got something wrong.
The Live Map is our single source of truth. Every number on every page matches the map. When new sourced information arrives, we update the map first — then everything else follows. We never publish a figure we can't point to a source for.
Only projects that have publicly named a power figure count toward disclosed load. Five of the roughly twenty tracked projects have done so; the rest haven't said.
Our "Michigan Grid Today" snapshot is illustrative — modeled on annual averages, not a live feed. For real-time numbers, go straight to the primary sources:

Corrections make the data better. If a figure looks off, a project moved, or a pause was lifted, tell us and we'll check the record.
